WHAT TO EXPECT
Your fears are clinically valid.
Natalie Foundation equips pregnancy after loss moms with the tools and resources to help them during treatment.
Stillbirth is a clinical category, not a bereavement phase. Standard maternal care assumes a baseline of safety. Expectant mothers require a completely different clinical posture. The Natalie Foundation defines PAL as a high-risk medical state that mandates extended appointments, continuous fetal monitoring, and a dedicated, multidisciplinary care team including emotional support.
Your appointments are longer. Your sonography is more frequent. You see a dedicated, multidisciplinary team who has reviewed your full history before you walk in. You will never have to fight for a wellbeing check.

FOR CLINICIANS
Learn more about how to become PAL eligible.
Becoming PAL-eligible means adopting the standardized Pregnancy After Loss clinical model already in active use at Mount Sinai, Columbia University, and the University of Utah. The Natalie Foundation provides the full operational blueprint — patient-developed protocols, clinical training pathways, staff education curricula, and the data infrastructure — so your team can deliver cohesive, trauma-informed care from day one.
